…….Says his defection would allow him to align with the centre and do the FCT more good
The leadership of National Assembly Progressive Media Aides (NAPMAIDEs), has pleaded to the Senator representing the Federal Capital Territory, Distinguished Senator Philip Tanimu Aduda to decamp from the PDP to the APC.
The National Chairman of the group, Prince Oyelude Oladele said this in a statement released to pressmen in Abuja on Monday 6th September, 2021.
Oyelude said that Aduda’s defection will do the Federal Capital Territory more good and allow the Senator to align with the centre.
“It’s astonishing, despite the fact that the ruling party in Nigeria today is the All Progressive Congress, the parliamentarians representing the Federal Capital Territory of Nigeria are members of the People Democratic Party”.
“It’s not a gain saying, Sen. Philip Aduda defection will allow FCT to witness more progress and enable the Distinguished Senator to align with the centre and work with President Muhammadu Buhari to develop a Progressive Federal Capital Territory”.
Senator Philip Tanimu Aduda is a third term parliamentarian and the only Senator representing the Federal Capital Territory with 6 LGAs. He was firstly elected to the Red Chamber of the National Assembly in 2011 with 105,562 votes and re-elected into the Nigerian Senate for a second term in 2015.
On 26 February 2019, Distinguished Senator Philip Tanimu Aduda was re-elected for a third term into the Nigerian senate, he won with the total vote of 263,055.
Prince Oyelude Oladele, thereby pleaded to the Chairman APC Caretaker and Extraordinary Convention Planning Committee and Yobe state Governor Mai Mala Buni to woo Distinguished Senator Philip Aduda to the APC.
“In the progressive soul winning spirit of the Chairman APC Caretaker and Extraordinary Convention Planning Committee, Gov. Mai Mala Buni, I hereby appeal to his Committee to reachout to Distinguished Senator Philip Tanimu Aduda, other two PDP House of Representatives members and convince them to join the already repositioned APC”.
