After training, SEEBEE empowers constituents with equipment worth #10m

A PDP chieftain and former chairman of Iwo local government, Honorable Sulaiman Akanji Bello has empowered over 100 constituents across the three local governments in Iwo federal constituency.

The beneficiaries drawn from the 35 wards in Iwo federal constituency have earlier been enrolled on full scholarship in training on different artisan trades such as tailoring, barbing, hairdressing and shoe making today got equipment in their various fields to make them be self reliance.

The mega empowerment which is first of its kind which took place at the SEEBEE Hotel Iwo saw Osun state party chairman, Hon. Sunday Bisi, Senator Nurudeen Ademola Adeleke, Prince Dotun Babayemi, and many other leaders of the party in attendance.

In addition to the distribution of Tailoring Machine, Hairdressing Dryers, Barbing and Shoe Making Tools, he also gave out some cash donation to the aged women, and people with special needs aimed at alleviating the suffering of the people adding that “Aged Cash Empowerment” is necessary to support the old ones to live a more better life.

Beneficiaries were also awarded with certificates and cash grant for start up.

While addressing the beneficiaries at the event, SEEBEE as Hon. Sulaiman Bello is popularly known said the empowerment was a way to take care of the faithful party members. He added that the empowerment will be a continuous as all members could not benefit at the same time.

Honorable Sunday Bisi in his address described Hon. Seebee as a blessing not only to Iwoland but Osun state at large, he thanked God for giving PDP a personality like him at a time when APC has failed the people of the state in lifting people above poverty APC has plunged them into.
“If a man who is not holding a political position could notice the sufferings of his people and think of a way of easing them of their burdens, such a man deserves an applause”
He then advised the beneficiaries not to mismanage the opportunity given to them.

Alhaji Lukman Afolabi (Abere Soose) who represented Senator Nurudeen Ademola Adeleke at the occasion in his remarks also commended Hon. Seebee for identifying and coming up with such huge empowerment programme at a time when the people of the state need it most.

He said the empowerment will help mitigate youth restiveness and other related social vices in the constituency and add value to the living standard of the people both financially and socially.

Beneficiaries of the empowerment expressed their joy described the empowerment as timely and pray to God to continue blessing Hon. Seebee financially.
