The Board of Trustees of TETFund has approved the conversion of Ph.D. Thesis written by of Sunday Asakpa of The Federal Polytechnic, Offa, Kwara State, department of Computer Science into a Book. The thesis titled: Development of Visual Cryptographic System for Ear Biometric Template Security was found to be extremely one of the best Ph.D. thesis from institutions in Nigeria and abroad written by Nigerians.
According to a letter of notification signed by Executive Secretary, S.K. Okunlola, TETFund Ag. Director of Educational Support Service sent to the Polytechnic on the decision of TETFund to convert the Ph.D. thesis to a book on behalf of the Executive Secretary; the letter stated inter alia “I am glad to inform you that the thesis of Dr. Asakpa Sunday Ogheneruemu in your Polytechnic has been recommended by the Committee for conversion into a book.” It further stated “l wish to congratulate Dr. Asakpa and your Polytechnic for this achievement. Kindly accept the assurances of the Executive Secretary highest regards.”
Consequently, 2,000 copies of the book will be published and distributed free; 1,000 copies to tertiary institutions in Nigeria while 1,000 copies will also be given to Dr. Asakpa.
The Rector on behalf of Management, staff and students applauds Dr. Sunday Asakpa on his outstanding and rare feat.
Dr. Asakpa is an Alumnus of The Federal Polytechnic Offa having graduated with Upper Credit in 1998.
