God allows suffering to bring us closer to him and He often uses hard times to get our attention. When things are going great we are not so quick to turn to Him… when we finally surrender the need for comfort and give it over to God, He gets to do what He does best. And that’s a great place to be.
A life without challenge, a life without hardship, a life without purpose seems pointless. With challenge comes perseverance and gumption. With hardship comes resilience and resolve. The greatest challenge in life is establishing your moral compass, overcoming your story and mastering your mind and practice being resilient.
It is easy to stand with the crowd, go along with group think and do what everyone else is doing. And, sometimes that is ok. Leaders, role models and mentors however, have the courage to stand alone when going along with the crowd is what is popular. But, it means you have to compromise your values and integrity. It takes courage to stand alone.
Your toughest lessons can lead to your biggest blessings. They also teach you a lot about life and make you see reality. Remember, the bed of roses you’re used to is NOT real life! But more importantly, the challenges will make you stronger than you ever imagined yourself to be!
The mind is the engine room of life. The Bible (proverbs23:7), tells us that as a man “thinketh in his heart so is he.” Roman emperor Marcus Aurelius (121-180AD) concluded, we become what we think about. Therefore, it is imperative that we engage the power of positive thinking.
It is well with our country Nigeria, it is well with Africa. It is well with our compatriots across the globe going through difficult times. It is well with our souls.
