……Says Senator Oriolowo deserves national commendation
……Advise NALDA boss to emulate Oriolowo’s farm estate model that will reduce farmers/herders dispute
As disclosed by the Executive Secretary of the National Agricultural Land Development Authority, (NALDA), Prince Paul Ikonne, after a meeting with President Muhammadu Buhari at the Presidential Villa in Abuja that the President has approved the setting up of integrated farm estates in all the 109 senatorial districts across the country, the Chairman of the National Assembly Progressive Media Aides (NAPMAIDEs), Prince Oyelude Oladele said the initiative was a practical blueprint of the Senator representing Osun West Senatorial District, Distinguished Senator Adelere Oriolowo.
While commending President Muhammadu Buhari, Oyelude also appreciate Distinguished Senator Adelere Oriolowo for his foresight.
“We commended President Muhammadu Buhari for his commitment towards ensuring that the country achieved food security, we also appreciate Distinguished Senator Adelere Oriolowo for his foresight towards sustainable empowerment program for the people, provide food security and banish poverty and hunger among his constituents, the progressive Senator deserves accolades from all Nigerians”.
Recall that few months ago, Distinguished Senator Oriolowo setup farm settlement in the three Federal Constituencies that makes up Osun West Senatorial District where the trainees will be breeding their cattles, engage in cocoa plantation and planting of other arable crops.
Distinguished Senator Oriolowo also form three Agricultural Cooperatives society, one for each federal constituency in which the cooperative society consisting of the trainees and certain percentage for the host community where the farm estate are being established to ensure the long term goal of the project.
Prince Oyelude also applauded the Executive Secretary of the National Agricultural Land Development Authority, (NALDA), Prince Paul Ikonne, for taking the initiative to President Muhammadu Buhari, advise him to emulate Senator Oriolowo model of farm settlement that will reduce farmers/herders dispute.
“We must appreciate NALDA Executive Secretary, Prince Paul Ikonne, for taking such initiative to President Buhari for approval, we are pleased to encourage him to emulate Sen. Adelere Oriolowo’s model of farm estates by Introducing a model that will reduce constant farmers/herders clash as the beneficiary will make use of alternative ranching to breed and rear the cattles they will be given”.
“It calls for emulation, the model has attracted some State governments delegated officials to the Senator’s farm estate to learn more about the model with a desire to establish such in their states,” Oyelude added.
