Benue State Governor Samuel Ortom has confirmed attack on him by suspected militia herdsmen on Saturday.
The incident occurred in his farm at Tyo-mu, along Makurdi – Gboko road.
The timely response of his security aides repelled the attack.
The Governor was concerned that the attack is coming a few days after the leadership of Miyetti Allah Kautal Hore, held a meeting in Yola, and singled him out, as a thorn in their flesh, who must be eliminated.
